Makar Sankranti 2021 : Khichdi Mela begins at Gorakhnath Temple

Gorakhpur: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Khichdi fair has started in the world famous Gorakhnath temple located in Gorakhpur. This fair will last for about a month. In view of Makar Sankranti, all the arrangements for barricading and security have been completed. There has been no decrease in the devotion of people even in the midst of global corona crisis. The tradition of offering khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath has been going on for centuries. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself does pooja at Gorakhnath temple and offers prasad of khichdi. After that, the door is opened to the common devotees.
