Noida : In the last 24 hours, nine people have committed suicide in various police station areas of Gautam Budh Nagar. A spokesman for Police Commissioner Alok Singh said that Kanika Chaudhary (27 years), who lives in a society located in Sector 134 of Expressway Police Station area, consumed poisonous substance on Tuesday evening due to mental stress. She was admitted to a private hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.
The spokesperson said that Sanju (23 years), living in Bisahara village of Jarcha police station area, committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan due to a dispute with his wife. He said that Anubhav Krishnamurthy, who lives in Delta-1 of Surajpur police station area, also allegedly committed suicide due to mental stress. His body was found at home late on Tuesday. He said that the deceased was allegedly having a dispute with his wife.
The spokesman said that Ganga Singh (53 years), who lives in Jo-sector of Dadri police station area, committed suicide by hanging from a fan in the house late on Tuesday night. He said that Aarush, who lives in the Sector-58 police station area, also committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan last night. The spokesman said that a 48-year-old woman living in Gijhod village of Noida Sector-24 area committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping from the third floor of her house.
Media in-charge said that Kunal Malik (27), who lives in Mahagun Maywoods Society of Bisarkh police station area, tried to commit suicide by hanging himself from the fan. The relatives had admitted him to the Fortis Hospital in Noida where he died late on Tuesday. He told that in Dadri police station area, a person named Kajal Turi committed suicide by jumping in front of the train.
