Deaths Toll From Corona Exceeds 1 Lakh In India, 79476 Cases In Last 24 Hours

New Delhi : The number of deaths due to coronavirus in India on Saturday has crossed one lakh and the number of corona infected has crossed 64 lakhs. This has been reported by the Union Ministry of Health. However, there has been some decline in the daily spike of the corona.

According to data from the ministry, 79,476 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the number of deaths due to the virus has been 1,069. So far 64,73,545 people have been infected due to this virus in the country. The number of active cases in the country is 9,44,996.

At the same time, 54,27,707 patients have defeated the virus and returned home from the hospital after treatment. On the other hand, due to this virus, the number of people who lost their lives in the country has increased to 1,00,842. India has become the third country where the death toll exceeded 100,000.

As per the data released by ICMR, a total of 7,78,50,403 samples were tested for COVID19 up to October 2. Of these, 11,32,675 samples were tested yesterday.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the total number of coronavirus cases worldwide is 34.4 million, while deaths have risen to more than 1,026,700. The University’s Center for System Science and Engineering (CSSE) reported in its latest update that as of Saturday, the total number of cases was 34,495,372 and the death toll rose to 1,026,717.
