‘UP Police Ripped Off My Clothes’, Alleges Amrita Dhawan, President Of Delhi Mahila Congress

New Delhi : Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi were on their way to meet the family members of the Hathras gang-rape victim on Thursday. But the UP police did not allow both Congress leaders to cross the borders of Greater Noida. During this, there was a clash between police and Congress workers. Amrita Dhawan, president of the Delhi Mahila Congress, has accused the UP police of tearing clothes.

She said that after the arrest of Rahul Gandhi, the UP Police started scuffling with Congress workers. About 200 to 300 policemen attacked and tore clothes of Congress workers. She alleged that the UP police tore her clothes too.

Many Congress leaders have also shared the photo of Amrita Dhawan’s torn clothes on social media. However, Noida Police has denied these allegations. Noida’s DCP (Women’s Safety) Vrinda Shukla said that I was present there during this whole demonstration. A large number of women police personnel were stationed there. No such thing has been done by Noida Police against the dignity of any woman.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were going to meet the family of Hathras victim. UP police stopped him in Greater Noida where he had a long debate with the police officers. The police also did lathicharge to stop the Congress workers. The police also pushed Rahul Gandhi to the ground. Hundreds of vehicles were stuck in the traffic jam on the Yamuna Expressway during the high-voltage drama that lasted for nearly three hours.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged against Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi at the EcoTech Forest Police Station in Greater Noida. Police have registered an FIR against 203 Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Several serious sections have been imposed against these people in the FIR. The case has been filed by the Gautam Budh Nagar police.
