Not only this, Google has also introduced a system-wide dark mode option in Android 10. Dark mode sounds good in mobile, but the option of dark mode can be very dangerous for eyes.

Nowadays, the Dark Mode feature is quite trending for different apps of the smartphone. When dark mode is on, the display of the smartphone becomes dark or black. Due to which less light goes into eyes and you can use the phone for a long time without getting tired. But the dark mode is fine during the day, it proves to be harmful at night.

But do you know, if you use dark mode on your smartphone for a long time, then later your eyes adopt this habit. But later when you switch to light mode, it affects your eyes, and the vision starts to weaken. Excessive use of dark mode can cause eye disease. After switching from light to dark text, your eyes cannot suddenly adapt to this change and in such a situation, Bright Burn can also occur.

According to the American Optometric Association, an eye disease named Astigmatism is being reported in people using dark mode. In which the shape of the cornea of one eye or both eyes becomes somewhat strange and vision starts to become blurred . Because of which people cannot easily read white text on black background as compared to black text on white background. When the display is bright, the iris becomes smaller, allowing less light to go into the eye and vice versa with the dark display.

What to do in this situation?
If you do not want to let any harm happen due to the dark mode on the eyes, then you should keep switching between the dark mode and the light mode in between, so as to keep the brightness of the smartphone display as low as possible. Using the light mode during the day, while using the dark mode at night would be fine.
