Scientists Found Potential Signs Of Life In ‘Venus’ Planet’s Atmosphere
New Delhi: Venus planet, close to the Earth where in its solar system, chances of ‘life’ have been found. The surprising thing is that you can see this planet at night with your eyes open. Not only this, there are 37 active volcanoes on this planet. An international team of astronomers has detected a rare molecule in the atmosphere of Venus that could be produced by living organisms, according to a study published Monday.
In the thick clouds of this planet, scientists have found potential signs of life. Scientists have discovered a gas in these clouds which is related to the origin of life on Earth. The name of this gas is Phosphine. However, it is almost impossible to have any life in the atmosphere of the planet Venus, in such a way, the finding of phosphine gas is a shocking event in itself.
Astrobiologist Sara Seager of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) said that the report of our discovery has been published in Nature Astronomy. We have written in it that there is a possibility of life in the atmosphere of Venus planet. Sara Seager said that we do not claim that there is life on this planet. But there can be a possibility of life because there is a special gas found there which is emitted due to organisms.
Phosphine gas particles are pyramidal shaped. It has only one hydrogen particle at the top and three hydrogen particles at the bottom. But surprise is how this gas was formed on this rocky planet. Because a lot of pressure and temperature are needed to join phosphorus and hydrogen particles. These photos of clouds were taken from the European Southern Laboratory (ESO) and the Alma Telescope.
This planet is very unstable geographically. There are 37 volcanoes active on the Venus planet. Some of them are still erupting. These active volcanoes were discovered by scientists of the University of Maryland.
Recent volcanic eruptions on Venus planet have led to structures such as Coronae or Corona on the surface. Structures such as Corona mean round circles that are extremely deep and large. Recently, volcanic lava flowed up from these circles. At present, hot gas is coming out of them. Till now it was believed that the tectonic plates of the Venus planet are cool. But it is not so, there are earthquakes due to these volcanic eruptions also. Tectonic plates are shaking.
Earlier it was believed that the active corona of the planet Venus has caused a volcanic eruption, but now it is not so. Since 1990, 133 corona have been investigated. Of these, 37 corona are still active. Because of these corona pits, volcanic eruptions have been occurring for the last 20 to 3 million years. Corona pits are necessary in any planet for the flow of volcanic lava. These 37 volcanoes are mostly located on the southern hemisphere of the planet Venus. The largest corona among them, called Artemis, is 2100 km in diameter.
