New Delhi : The emphasis will be on digitization in the global economy and between 2020 and 2023 and it will cost US $ 6800 billion on IT, such information was given by the International Data Corporation. The research firm said in the information technology industry forecasts of 2021 and beyond, that the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic is everywhere and many external causes are becoming carriers of change.

According to a release issued by IDC, due to the global epidemic, there have been obstacles in 2020 but the digital journey of the global economy will continue and most of the products and services will be based on the digital delivery model.

With these changes, 65 percent of global GDP will go digital and by 2020-2023, it will cost $ 6800 billion on IT, the release said. IDC has estimated that by the end of 2021, 80 percent of enterprises will have a double speed of adoption of cloud-based infrastructure and applications compared to before the epidemic.

Microsoft said on Wednesday that it, along with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), will teach digital skills to more than one lakh women in India over the next 10 months. The company said that under this alliance, more than 70 hours of course material will be made available for free, which includes subjects like digital literacy, employment promotion, nano entrepreneurship and communication skills.

Microsoft has earlier partnered with NSDC to provide digital skills to one lakh youth in the country and the latest announcement is an extension of this initiative. The company said that the new initiative will focus on increasing participation of qualified women in the workforce of rural communities.
