Scindia will never become CM in BJP, Write it down : Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said while speaking to the Youth Wing workers of the party that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jyotiraditya Scindia could have become chief minister with the Congress but has become a backbencher in BJP.

“Jyotiraitya Scindia would have become the chief minister had he stayed with Congress but has become a backbencher in the BJP. He had the option to strengthen the organisation. I told him — one day you will become the chief minister. But he chose another route,” added Rahul Gandhi.

“Write it down, he will never become chief minister there. He will have to come back here for that,” the former Congress president was further quoted by ANI. Rahul Gandhi also told the youth party workers to fight the ideology of RSS and not be “afraid of anyone.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned after 18 years in the Congress party and joined BJP last year. Sonia Gandhi expelled Jyotiraditya Scindia when he informed her of his decision to leave.

Rahul Gandhi had said that Jyotiraditya Scindia was the “only one” who can walk into his house anytime. “He was with me in college,” Rahul Gandhi had said.
