Farmers’ mahapanchayat to be held today at UP gate, Avoid taking these routes

New Delhi : Today there will be a mahapanchayat of farmers at UP Gate. It will also include Naresh Tikait, the national president of BKU. On the other hand, there will be talks with representatives of the government and farmer organizations in Delhi. Huge number of farmers kept coming all day on Tuesday for the panchayat of the Indian Farmers Union at the UP Gate today.

On Wednesday, the number of farmers is claimed to have crossed 10 thousand. In the mahapanchayat, Naresh Tikait, national president of BKU will address the farmers. Preparations continued throughout the day on Tuesday. Dharmendra Malik, national media in-charge of BKU, said that farmers got excited on the information of Naresh Tikait’s arrival. The farmers say that on one side there will be a meeting with the government to return the law and on the other side the farmers will wait for the decision by holding a mahapanchayat on the border.

Diversions will be made on these routes today
– Traffic is closed from Rajnagar Extension on elevated road towards UP Gate. Drivers can go from Mohan Nagar and Delhi-Wazirabad road to the destination via Nagdwar.
– Vehicles coming from Hapur towards Delhi-Meerut Expressway can travel through Dasna bridge, Hapur Chungi, ALT Rajnagar Extension, Rotary Golchakkar, Mohan Nagar via Nagdwar or Delhi-Wazirabad Road.
– Vehicles will go from Jal Nigam Police Outpost to GT Road via Meerut Tiraha, Mohannagar towards Seemapuri Border
– Vehicles going from Dabur Tiraha to UP Gate on Link Road will be diverted to Maharajpur-Anand Vihar border
– Vehicles coming from Chijarasi, Sector-62 and Khoda underpasses will use Noida route

The farmers, who have been staging a sit-in protest at Atoha in Palwal district on the Delhi-Agra National Highway, have decided to intensify the agitation to demand the repeal of agricultural laws. Apart from Palwal, farmers of Faridabad and Noonh will also protest strongly. On Tuesday, a large number of farmers from Faridabad and Noonh reached the dharna site.

To give a fast pace to the farmers movement, a meeting will be held with the panch of 52 Pals on Wednesday. A call for a mahapanchayat can also be called at the meeting. This meeting will be held on January 3. On the other hand, Dagar Pal of Faridabad and Palwal gave his support to the farmers sitting on the dharna. Pal’s head Dharamvir said that he hoped that the Modi government would accept the farmers’ demand, but even after more than a month, the Modi government neither accepted the demand of the farmers nor withdrew the three black laws.
