Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad today i.e. Saturday to take stock of how far the work of making Corona vaccine has reached in the country. PM Modi will review the works related to the Covid-19 vaccine being developed there. For this, PM Modi has reached Ahmedabad and will visit Zydus Biotech Park. The Prime Minister will speak to researchers, scientists here and will take stock of the progress made in the vaccine itself.

The PMO tweeted that the Prime Minister will visit three cities to personally review the vaccine development and manufacturing process. He will visit Zydus Cadila Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune.

The PMO said that Prime Minister Modi will visit these centers and he will discuss with the scientists to get information about preparing the roadmap, challenges and efforts for immunization of its citizens.

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that Modi will visit the plant of leading pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila near Ahmedabad and get information about the Covid-19 vaccine being developed there. Zydus Cadila’s plant is located in Changodar Industrial Area near Ahmedabad city.

The drugmaker had previously announced that Phase I trials of a potential vaccine for the Covid-19 had been completed, and Phase II trials began in August. A senior official said that Modi would then visit the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII), which has partnered with well-known pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and Oxford University to develop the Covid-19 vaccine.

He said that the Prime Minister would reach Pune at around 12:30 pm. After this, the Prime Minister will go to Hyderabad where he will visit the center of Bharat Biotech, a company developing Covid-19 vaccine. He will stay here for an hour.
