J&K : Encounter Between Security Forces & Terrorists In Anantnag, One Terrorist Killed

Srinagar : In Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have achieved great success on Saturday. The security forces have killed a terrorist during an encounter in Anantnag. The search operation of security forces is going on in the area.

According to news agency ANI, information was received from the intelligence agency that terrorists are hiding in the Larnu area of Anantnag. After which the security forces surrounded the area and launched a search operation.

As the cordon tightened, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. The security forces also retaliated. In which a terrorist died. Security forces have also recovered an AK-47 rifle. Currently, a search operation is going on in the area.

Earlier, a militant was arrested by the security forces in an encounter between security forces and militants in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday. While the SPO escaped from the spot. The captured terrorist had joined Lashkar a few days ago.

According to the information, Budgam police received input on Friday morning that some terrorists were hiding in Nagam Chadura of the district. After this, Jammu and Kashmir Police, 53 Rashtriya Rifles of the Army and CRPF laid siege to the area and carried out a joint search operation.

During this, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces and tried to escape. The soldiers also gave a befitting reply. After some time the firing stopped. After this, the security forces caught a terrorist. He has been identified as Jahangir Bhat.

IG Vijay Kumar said that the arrested terrorist will be questioned soon. Many important information is likely to be found in this. Further action will be taken after this. The IG, appealed to the absconding SPO to return and said that legal action would be taken against him, but his life could be saved. IG said that an AK 47 has been recovered from the terrorist and it is the same weapon that SPO escaped with.
