Kolkata : Mishti Mukherjee, an actress of Hindi and Bengali films, died in Bangalore late Friday night due to kidney failure. She was just 27 years old and was suffering from a kidney problem. It is being told that her health deteriorated due to the Keto diet.
A statement issued by her family representative said, ‘Actress Mishti Mukherjee, who has shown her talent in many films and music videos, is no longer among us. Her kidney failed in Bengaluru due to the Keto Diet and she breathed her last on Friday night. The actress suffered a lot.’ After the demise, she was cremated on Saturday.
According to reports, Mishti made her Bollywood debut in the year 2012 with the film ‘Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi’. After this, she was seen in a song in the 2013 film Main Krishna Hoon with Rajneesh Duggal. Juhi Chawla was in the lead role in this film. While Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif had a special appearance. Apart from this, Mishti was also seen in some item numbers. Apart from Hindi, she also worked in Bengali and Telugu films.
In 2014, Mishti was accused of running a high profile sex racket. Several raids and tapes were also recovered from her house during the raid.
On the death of Mishti, actress Kashmira Shah expressed condolences in a tweet. Kashmira wrote, ‘Gone too soon too young RIP Mishti Mukherjee.’
