Honey Trap : DRDO Scientist Went For Massage Kidnapped From Noida, Demanded 10 Lakh Ransom
New Delhi : A scientist posted in the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) was caught by miscreants in Honey Trap. On Saturday evening, the scientist was taken hostage and kidnapped by taking the scientist to the hotel in the name of massage. The miscreants demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the scientist’s wife.
As soon as the information was received on Sunday morning, several police teams got involved in the investigation. In the evening, the police arrested three accused, including a woman, while rescuing the scientist. Police are looking for other miscreants involved in the incident.
The man posted as Junior Scientist in the office of DRDO, Delhi, resides in a society located in Noida Sector-77. Additional Commissioner Law and Order Luv Kumar said that the said scientist searched the massage center’s number through social sites and contacted them.
On Saturday, a man from the massage center arrived and he took him to a hotel in Noida for a massage where three to four other men also came in a short time and threatened and accused scientist of joining the sex racket. They started calling himself a police officer.
They took him hostage in a hotel room and asked the family to give 10 lakh rupees and threatened that he would be held hostage till the money came. If he does not get the money, he will be arrested, which will also affect his job. Police came to know about it on Sunday and six teams started looking for him.
Three accused, including a woman, were arrested after raiding a hotel in Noida late at night. Those who are being questioned and the names of their other colleagues have also come out. Teams are investigating in this case.
According to police sources, Noida Police had received information from the DRDO headquarters regarding the kidnapping of the scientist. After which the police teams led by Police Commissioner Alok Singh were in action and they successfully saved the DRDO scientist. It is believed that there will be many more important revelations in this matter and this gang has cheated many people in the same way so far.
