Cyber Attack On Over 100 Computers Of NIC, Information About Many Including PM-NSA On Risk

New Delhi: Many computers of the National Informatics Center (NIC) have been hacked by hackers. The Special Cell Team of Delhi Police has registered a case in this matter. After the news of Chinese espionage that came out in the past, now these computers of NIC, which has data related to Indian security, citizens, and big VIP personalities were attacked. These include data of  everyone from the Prime Minister to the National Security Advisor.

This attack was done from a firm in Bengaluru as told in a report. A mail was received to the employees of NIC, and those who clicked the link of that mail, the data of their computer disappeared. It is being told that about 100 computers were targeted in this cyber attack, in which some belonged to NIC and some were associated with the IT Ministry.

Now, on the complaint of National Informatics Center (NIC), Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case under IT Act. The matter is still under investigation, but according to sources, this mail came from an American company in Bangalore whose information is obtained from the IP address.

Just a few days ago, a report claimed that some Chinese companies are keeping an eye on about ten thousand Indians. In these, the data of many celebrities including the Prime Minister, President, senior officials, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, leaders, sports person, actors are being monitored. The Chinese company is recording all these movements.

The issue of this disclosure was raised in Parliament, after which a complaint was lodged by the Ministry of External Affairs at the Chinese Embassy. Also, a committee has been formed which is looking into the whole matter.
