Heavy rain and snowfall for next two days in Uttarakhand, Cold will increase in many states

Chamoli : The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in northern parts of Uttarakhand today and tomorrow (on 9 and 10 February). The serious thing is that the department has expressed the possibility of rain and snowfall in the high altitude areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand. In such a situation, it is estimated that if there is rain and snowfall in these areas of Uttarakhand, it will be very difficult to run the rescue operation. Since the disaster of the glacier bursting in Chamoli Joshimath, various agencies including NDRF, SDRF, ITBP, Army, Navy, Air Force have been involved in the rescue operation.

The bodies of 26 people have been recovered so far. Even on Monday, rescue operations went on overnight. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat yesterday held a meeting with other agencies of ITBP, NDRF, SDRF, Uttarakhand Police and Joshimath on relief and rescue operations in Tapovan.

Its impact will be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh as well as Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Cold conditions will prevail on 8 February in different regions of South Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. In Northwest India, the minimum temperature will increase by 2 to 4 degree Celsius within the next four-five days.
