Mumbai : The country shook once again due to earthquake tremors. Palghar in Maharashtra experienced an earthquake late on Monday, its intensity was 3.5 on the reactor scale, while Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand also experienced a late night earthquake. The intensity of this earthquake has been measured 3.4 on the Richter scale. People have been affected by the earthquake in two different parts of the country.

Many earthquakes occurred this year. Earthquake tremors are felt daily in different parts of the country. In this episode, an earthquake hit Palghar in Maharashtra and Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand late on Monday night.

Earthquake Tremors in Palghar   
People once again felt the earthquake tremors in Palghar, Maharashtra late on Monday night. Late at night at 2.50 am, an earthquake struck near Palghar. The earthquake was of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale. There is no news of loss of life or property due to this earthquake, but there is an atmosphere of fear among the people due to frequent earthquake tremors. People are afraid to stay indoors.

8 earthquakes in 4 hours in Palghar
Just last week, there were 8 earthquake tremors in Palghar in 4 hours. Earthquakes hit 8 times in 4 hours on September 11. However, the intensity of earthquake tremors was low. These earthquake tremors were felt in the Dahanu and Talasari tehsils of Palghar. Not only Maharashtra, there are frequent earthquakes in different parts of the country.

Earthquake Tremors in Uttarkashi
According to National Center for Seismology, an earthquake tremor of 3.5 magnitude was felt near Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand around 9 pm last night. The epicenter of the earthquake was 50 kilometers north of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. This earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers from the surface.

Why does an earthquake occur?
There are 7 plates inside the earth that rotate continuously. The places where these plates collide more is called the fault line zone. Corners of the plates turn due to repeated hitting. When the more pressure starts to build up, the plates start breaking. Due to this, the energy inside it finds a way to come out. After this disturbance, an earthquake occurs.
