New Delhi : Chinese hackers have tried to block the power supply of Telangana. But this attack was thwarted by an alert sent by the Computer Emergency Response Team of India.
It was revealed in the past that when the power cut took place in Mumbai last year, it was done by the Chinese hackers.
According to the information, the cyber attack was planned by Chinese hackers at Telangana State Load Dispatch Center, TSTransco and some other centers. But surveillance in cyberspace was increased after the alert of CERT-In.
Other centers, including TSTransco, took several steps to stop the attack of Chinese hackers. This included blocking the IP server, shutting down the control function for remote operation.
According to the information, since May 2020, Chinese hackers are constantly looking to attack many such centers in India. Chinese hackers at power stations want to carry out cyber attacks and take it under their control.
This was the period when tensions at the border between India and China were at their peak, Chinese hackers were trying to harass India in the cyber world.
Recently, a news report claimed that Chinese hackers were also behind the black out in Mumbai. However, such a claim has been denied by China.
