Mock Drill: Aircraft coming from Delhi to Patna hijacked

New Delhi : A mock drill was carried out at the Patna Airport for safe rescue of passengers and freeing the aircraft coming from Delhi to Patna hijacked by the terrorists. On Saturday, it was reported that three criminals hijacked the plane. After this, the entire airport complex and surrounding area from ATC came on high alert.

In a hurry, the ATC, the District Police Force, the Bomb Prevention Squad and the CISF co-ordinated and a joint action plan was prepared. The airport director, DM, SSP and CISF commandate also kept an eye on every moment action in the presence of top officials of the Home Department as soon as the information about the plane hijack was received. The ATS, in collaboration with CISF, searched the location of the terrorists present in the aircraft and killed the four terrorists one by one.

During this time, the passengers present in the Patna airport campus did not even realise that such a big action was being carried out. The fire brigade and other teams were also engaged in the rescue work. Airport Director Bhupesh Negi said that it was an annual routine procedure for the hijacked aircraft rescue, which saw coordination of all agencies.
