The main reason for excluding both from this test is the coronavirus. David Warner suffered a groin injury during the second ODI against India, due to which he could not play in the last ODI, T20 series and first Test match. At the same time, fast bowler Sean Abbott was injured during the practice match against India. Both players were in Sydney with their families and were undergoing a rehabilitation process due to which both of them got out of the team’s bio-secure bubble.
The Australia Cricket Board issued a press release stating that the two players could not be included in this test due to the bio-security protocols created regarding Corona.
