High Protein Breakfast Recipe : Make delicious-spongy moong dal idli

Mumbai : Protein is very important for the body, it keeps you fit and enhances your muscles and also keeps your hair and face young. Today we are going to tell you about a high protein breakfast, by which you can not only increase the taste of the tongue but can also fulfil the daily protein intake to keep yourself healthy. Today we have brought the recipe of Moong Dal Idli. So let’s quickly know the recipe.

Ingredients :
Split moong dal – 2 cups
Oil or desi ghee
Curd – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Mustard – 1 tsp
Soaked gram lentils – 2 tsp
Green chili – 2
Curry leaves – 7 to 8
Ginger – 2 inches
Salt – as per taste
Cashew- 7 to 8
Pinch hing / asafoetida
Carrot – 1 medium

Instructions :
First of all soak moong dal for 2 hours. Then grind it in a mixer and add curd to it. Now put oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin, chana dal, green chilli and grated ginger and fry it till it becomes golden brown. Now add carrots and fry for about 2 minutes. Turn off the gas and mix the moong dal batter in it, and add asafoetida, coriander and turn off the gas.

Now add 1 tsp eno fruit salt and mix it lightly. Now grease the idli maker with oil and pour the batter, and steam for 15 minutes. Your healthy breakfast idli is ready. Serve it with chutney or hot sambar.
