Patan : The Somnath Temple Trust has made an important announcement regarding the mini-vacation on December 31 to revive the tourism that was ruined due to the corona epidemic. A decision has been announced to give a bumper discount of 15 to 25 per cent to tourists who book rooms in trust-owned guest houses from December 15 to January 31.
In this regard, the GM of the trust said that the global corona epidemic is having a serious impact on every sector, especially the trade industry. The tourism industry in particular is facing a recession due to global pandemic. People with small businesses are being greatly affected. The night curfew is likely to remain in place in major cities as December continues. With that in mind people are thinking of moving to a smaller destination. The scheme has been announced by the Somnath Trust to attract tourists.
It may be mentioned here that during the last few years, a large number of tourists come to Somnath on a mini vacation on December 31. The Somnath Mandir Trust has decided to give a maximum of 25 per cent discount on fares to tourists who book rooms at the trust’s Lilavati, Maheshwari Guest Houses and Sagardarshan Guest House during the period from December 15 to January 31, with a view to providing local employment. Tourists who book a room offline or online, both will get this benefit.
