PM Modi at Bengaluru Tech Summit : ‘We have enhanced the dignity of humans due to technology’

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the ‘Bangalore Tech Summit, 2020’ (BTS 2020) through video conferencing. He said on this occasion that technology has changed our lives. Through technology, we have enhanced human dignity. In one click, millions of farmers got monetary support. When the lockdown was at its peak, it was the technology that ensured that the poor of India got proper and speedy assistance.

PM Modi further said that in the age of information and technology, India is at a unique place to move forward. We have the best minds as well as the largest markets. Our local tech solutions have the potential to go global. It is time for a tech-solution that is designed in India but deployed to the world.

At the Bengaluru Tech Summit, 2020, PM Modi said that our government has successfully created a market for digital and technological solutions. This has made technology an important part of all plans. Due to technology, our schemes have changed people’s lives at such a rapid pace.

The three-day conference was organized by the Government of Karnataka, the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), the Vision Group on Information Technology, Government of Karnataka, Biotechnology and Startup, Software Technology Park of India (STPI) and M.M. Active Science has done it in collaboration with Tech Communications.

Youth can play an important role : PM Modi
PM Modi praised the youth and said that youth can play a major role in developing strong cyber security solutions; The potential and opportunities for youth are endless. He further said that Digital India has become a way of life and BHIM UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is an example of this.

The BTS2020 program is scheduled to take place from 19 to 21 November. A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said that the ‘Bengaluru Tech Summit’ will be attended by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Swiss Confederation Vice President Gai Parmelin and several other dignitaries. Apart from these, the event will also include top thinkers, industry frontline leaders, technology experts, researchers, innovators, investors, policy makers and education personalities from India and across the globe.
