‘Ashram 2’ in controversy, Karni Sena sends legal notice to Prakash Jha

Mumbai : The first season of Bollywood actor Bobby Deol starrer webseries ‘Ashram’ was well received. Bobby’s performance in the first season was much appreciated. The second season of this web series i.e. ‘Ashram 2’ is coming soon. Meanwhile, the web series “Ashram 2” has been in the midst of controversy even before its release.

The Karni Sena has sent a legal notice to Prakash Jha. The complaint was lodged due to misconceptions about religious sentiments, ancient culture and ashram religion. In the notice, the Karni Sena has demanded a ban on the screening of the trailer of ‘Ashram 2’ and the entire web series. Recently, the official teaser of the Ashram 2 web series was released.

The Karni Sena, along with Prakash Jha, has also issued notices to the OTT platform ‘MX Player’. Apart from Bobby Deol, Aditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka and Adhyayan Suman will play important roles in this web series. The series is set to release on November 11.
