Security arrangements at Delhi International Airport beefed up after Khalistani organization issues terror threat

New Delhi : Khalistani organizations have threatened blasts at many places including Delhi Airport. The pro-Khalistan organization, Sikh for Justice, declared DCP Airport Rajiv Ranjan’s photo as ‘Face of Terror’. Along with this, security of many important places including the airport has been increased after the threat of Khalistan organization.

The Khalistani organization also released a video on Twitter. Gurpatwant Singh, who described himself as the general secretary of Sikh for Justice, on Thursday threatened to stop Air India’s flight Delhi to London flights ‘AI111’ and ‘A531’.

Soon after this tweet, the anti-terror unit of Delhi Police became active. The CISF and Delhi Police have increased the security of the airport. On Tuesday, senior officials of CISF and Delhi Police also held a meeting regarding the security of the airport.

DCP Rajiv Ranjan of Delhi Airport said, “We have increased the number of pickets and intensive search is being done for all the vehicles entering the airport.” Armed personnel of Delhi Police in plain clothes are also posted at the airport.
