Bomb blast in a Madrasa in Peshawar, Pakistan; 7 dies, 70 injured

Islamabad: An explosion occurred in a madrasa in Dar Colony, Peshawar, Pakistan. Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Mansoor Aman has shared information about the blast. Many children are reported to get injured in the blast. Police and rescue officials have reached the spot. According to Pakistan media, at least 19 children were injured in an explosion near a madrasa in Dar Colony, Peshawar. SSP Aman said that investigations are on to find out the cause of the explosion.

At least seven people are reported to have been killed in this blast while 70 people have been injured. A police officer said that unknown people had placed explosives in plastic bags. Children are among those who die. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital.

At least four people were killed on Sunday in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan in Pakistan. According to media reports, two people were injured in the blast in the vicinity of Shalkot police station. The explosive material was installed on the motorcycle. A fire broke out in a vehicle and motorcycle parked at the scene. In another bomb blast last month, five people were killed and two others were injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the Akbarpura area of Naushera.

At the same time, it has been learned that District Police Officer (DPO) Najmal Hassan said that the blast occurred in a market on the banks of the Kabul River. “Some people were collecting scrap material from stones along the banks of the river. The scrap contained some explosive material.”
