Jetpur : Miscreants Throws Chilli Powder In Jeweller’s Eyes, Robbed Rs 42 Lakh Including 800g Gold

Rajkot : Incidents of robbery are on the rise in the state after lockdown. In a fresh incident, a big robbery has taken place in Jetpur today. The incident took place at Ramakant Road Soni Bazaar in Nana Chowk area of the city. The robbers on the bike robbed the jeweller by throwing chilli powder in his eyes.

It has come to know that gold and cash were looted by two persons. A robbery of 800 grams of gold and two lakh cash, estimated Rs 42 lakh, has been reported. Police, on the other hand, have launched an investigation taking help of CCTV.

According to the information received in this incident, 40 lakh gold was looted in Soni Bazaar in Jetpur. Two unidentified persons robbed a jeweller and stole Rs 40 lakh at Ramakant Road Soni market in Nana Chowk area of the city today. The jeweller had 700 grams of gold and Rs 2 lakh in cash in his bag. The wholesale jeweller was on his way to Matwa Street when he was attacked and robbed by unknown persons.

Jeweller Chiman Vekaria also suffered a leg injury, due to which, he was rushed to a government hospital for treatment. Police rushed to the spot after the whole incident was reported. And launched an investigation based on the CCTV around the crime scene
