Bus going from Surat to Malkapur fell into a gorge in Nandurbar, 5 dead, 35 injured

Nandurbar : A bus full of passengers fell into a 30 feet deep gorge near Maharashtra’s Khamchundar village in Nandurbar, Maharashtra. At least five people died in this accident, while 35 people were injured. Giving information about the accident, Nandurbar Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit said that the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital. Relief and rescue work is going on at the scene.
The SP said that this bus was going from Surat in Gujarat to Malkapur, when the accident happened near Kondibari Ghat on the way at around 3.15 am.

According to preliminary information, the driver had a nap in the night and due to this he lost control of the bus, after which the bus fell into a 30 feet deep gorge. The Superintendent of Police said that the police and local rescue team reached there soon after getting the information of the accident.
