Statue of Unity : Entry Of Tourists Allowed From 1st Day Of Navratri, 2500 Entries Per Day

Ahmedabad : After the seven months of lockdown, the country is gradually moving toward the unlock phase and various tourist destinations in the country have been opened for tourists. Meanwhile, the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, is going to open again on the 1st day of Navratri i.e. on October 17 adhering to the guidelines of Covid-19. It has been declared by Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited. Earlier, Jungle Safari at Kevadia, Children Nutrition Park, Ekta Mall etc. have been opened.

2500 tourists will be allowed daily
Only 2500 tourists will be allowed in a day to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines and social distance in the event of a Corona epidemic.

Of these, only 500 tourists will be allowed to the viewing gallery located at a level of 153 meters.

Currently tourists visiting the Statue of Unity will only get tickets online. According to officials, tourists will be able to get tickets online at the slot every two hours from the official ticketing website www.soutickets.in. Only travelers who have purchased a 2 hour slot ticket will be allowed to the slot. In addition, tourists will not be given tickets face-to-face from any ticket window at Kevadia.

How will the Covid-19 protocol be maintained?
Tourists visiting the Statue of Unity will be required to wear a mask under the Covid-19 protocol. In addition, individuals will have to stand in designated places on the premises of the statue. In addition, sanitation and thermal screening are arranged on the spot. Sanitizing machines have been set up at various places on the site. Arrangements have also been made for social distance in the tourist buses of the Statue of Unity.
