New Delhi : World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has praised India’s Aarogya Setu App being used in the fight against Corona. Ghebreyesus said that with its help, health officials are getting great help in locating the corona cluster and testing corona.
The WHO chief said, 150 million people have downloaded the Aarogya Setu app in India. This is helping the city’s public health departments identify areas where the corona cluster is likely to present. Apart from this, the Aarogya Setu app is helping in testing in a targeted way.
Earlier, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance in which PM Modi had said India would use its vaccine production capacity to help countries fighting Covid-19. Ghebreyesus said that this epidemic can only be defeated through the exchange of resources.
PM Modi in his address at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly said, as India being the largest country in terms of vaccine production, I give one more assurance to the world community today. India’s vaccine production and supply capacity will be used to help the entire humanity in fighting this crisis.
