Grid Failure In Mumbai, Major Power Cut In Many Areas; Trains Lines Affected

Mumbai : The grid has failed in the Mumbai metropolitan area. BEST, a power supply company in Mumbai Township, said that the grid has failed due to the power supply plant. Power has been lost in Mumbai’s eastern, western, suburbs and parts of Thane. Due to this, people are facing huge problems. The effect of grid failure has also affected the local trains.

Nearly an hour after the grid failure, electricity has been restored in parts of western suburbs including Navi Mumbai. Efforts are being made to restart the electricity supply in other areas.

Electricity was disturbed in all over Mumbai at 10:15. It is being told that the power supply has been disrupted due to the failure of the central grid of Tata Power at Kalwa. Restoration of electricity in Mumbai may take an hour. There is no electricity in Mumbai City and its suburbs due to grid failure. Train service on Central, Eastern and Western lines is disrupted.

360 MW supply is affected
There are several tripping on lines and transformers (Kalwa-Padge and Kharghar ICT) to supply power to the Mumbai system. 360 MW supply in Mumbai has been affected. There is a power failure all over in Mumbai. Work is being done to restart the power supply.

Grid failure has also affected Mumbai locals. Due to this, people have left on foot to reach the destination. The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the railway said that the service of the Mumbai local train has been disrupted due to grid failure. After the power supply starts, the local train service will start again.
