Srikant Datar, Ex-Student Of IIM Ahmedabad Appointed New Dean Of Harvard Business School

Mumbai : Shrikant Datar of Indian descent has been appointed as the Dean of Harvard Business School, USA. Srikant Datar will replace Nitin Nohria, who is also of Indian descent. On January 1, Datar will take over as dean of Harvard Business School. Harvard Business School is 112 years old and Srikant will be the second dean of Indian descent in a row. Larry Bakov, president of Harvard University, gave this information.

“Arthur Lowes Dickinson, a professor of business administration and a senior associate at Harvard Business School (HBS), will be the next dean of Harvard Business School,” said Larry Bakov, president. Srikant Datar will take over from January 1, 2021. “Srikant Datar is an innovative teacher, a distinguished scholar and an experienced professor,” said Larry Bakov.

Datar will be the eleventh dean of Harvard Business School. All countries in the world are facing the corona crisis. Many problems arose during this epidemic. Datar has played an important role in coping with it at Harvard Business School. In 1973, Shrikant Datar completed his early education from the University of Mumbai. After becoming a Chartered Accountant, he did a Post Graduate Diploma from IIM Ahmedabad. Datar then did a PhD in statistics and economics from Stanford University.

Currently, Srikant was appointed as Senior Associate Dean of University Affairs at Harvard Business School. Larry Bakov, president of Harvard University, gave this information.
