Mumbai : After the AIIMS report on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Mumbai Police are now preparing to investigate those who defamed them by creating fake accounts on social media. Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh told reporters on Monday that the cyber cell is identifying people who created misleading and false information about this by creating fake social media accounts.

Whose conspiracy was behind tarnishing the image of the police will be investigated. Singh said that it has become clear that a conspiracy was launched through social media to discredit Mumbai Police. For this, a fake account was created on social media. The Mumbai Police will register an FIR in this case and will be able to identify the defrauders through fake accounts. He said that some retired police officers have filed a petition in this case and at present the matter is in court and Mumbai Police will take further action after its hearing on 8 October.

More than 80,000 fake social media accounts were created on different forums to defame the ongoing Mumbai Police investigation and the Maharashtra government. The Mumbai Police Commissioner has asked the cyber cell to register such cases under the IT Act and investigate it.

The Cyber Cell Unit of Mumbai Police has made a report, in which it found that the posts were posted on social media forums from different countries of the world like Italy, Japan, Poland, Slovenia, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Romania and France.

The Mumbai Police Commissioner said on the report issued by AIIMS dismissing the possibility of murder, “We had investigated the case professionally.” The CBI constituted the panel of AIIMS, which has justified our investigation and the facts and forensic laboratory found at Cooper Hospital. Except for a few people, nobody was aware of our investigation, but many are still criticizing our investigation.
