UP : Gangrape With Dalit Girl in Balrampur After Hathras, Victim Dies

Lucknow : Incidents of gang rape didn’t stop even after death of Dalit girl in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Now in a similar sequence, news of gang rape and murder of a Dalit girl has come to light from UP Balrampur. The victim was cremated late night after the postmortem.

However, here, two boys trapped a Dalit girl on the pretext of friendship and gang raped her. After executing this heinous act, the two accused in a critical condition sent the girl home in a rickshaw, where she died. The police have arrested both the accused.

According to the police, the name of an accused is Shahid, his father’s name is Habibullah and he is a resident of Gansdi. The name of the second accused is Sahil. His father’s name is Hamidullah, he also hails from Gansdi.

Balrampur police have said that in this case, both the accused have been arrested after taking prompt action by the police. The police have said that the claims of the victim’s arm, leg and waist break is not correct in this case. This has not been confirmed in the post mortem report.

Police said that a complaint has been filed in the police station Gathli of Balrampur. The relatives of a 22-year-old girl said that she used to work in a private firm. When the girl went to work yesterday, she did not come home till late in the evening and relatives were worried. They tried to contact her on the phone. But the girl could not be contacted. But after some time the girl came by rickshaw. She was in a bad condition.

Police said that the girl had a glucose injection in her hand. The girl’s condition looked very bad. Her family immediately took the girl to the hospital. But the girl died on the way. The family has accused two boys in the complaint and said they have raped the girl. When the girl’s condition deteriorated, they sent her home. The police immediately arrested both the accused. The police will investigate further and will take strict action against those found guilty.

According to the report, the victim is a college student. On the complaint of her brother, the police have registered a case of rape and murder on two named people. This incident is from Gansdi Kotwali area. On Tuesday, B-Com student had gone to the college of Pachperwa to get admission for the second.

In the evening, a rickshaw driver left the girl near her house in an unconscious state. When the family took her to the hospital, she died on the way. The family members alleged that the girl was abducted while returning from college and was gang-raped in a room in Gansdi town.

The police have arrested two youths on the complaint of the student’s brother. Victim’s slippers were found outside the room where she was accused of gang-rape in Gansdi market. The rickshaw from which the girl was transported to her house has also been found.

There is a grocery store behind the room in which the student gang-rape took place. The man running the grocery store is being described as the mastermind of the incident. After the gang rape, when the girl’s condition started deteriorating, the youth of the neighborhood called a private doctor for treatment. But the private doctor, after seeing the girl alone in the room, refused treatment and asked the youth to inform her family members.

The police have conducted a post-mortem of the dead body and arrested both the youths.

Former UP CM and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has reacted strongly to this incident. Akhilesh Yadav has said that after Hathras, now in Balrampur also a heinous crime of gang rape and harassment of a daughter has taken place and the victim has died. The BJP government should take immediate action on the culprits.

At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has attacked the state government on this issue. He has said that “There has been a heart-wrenching incident in Balrampur, the daughter of a Dalit has fallen victim, having a daughter in Yogi rule has become a curse, if you cannot protect daughters, then leave the power, Yogi ji.”
