UP Gave Maximum Employment During Corona Era, ‘This’ Is The Status Of Other States

New Delhi : Lockdown was imposed to control COVID-19 spread in the country, due to which companies all over the world are trying their methods of cost cuttings, while UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced to fill all the pending posts in government departments. At the same time, during the corona lockdown, UP has become the number one state in the MSME sector giving the highest jobs between April and August.

According to a report, 1,10,000 people have been provided jobs during COVID19 epidemic under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) in the country. Under this program, employment generation was done for more than 15 lakh people in the entire three-and-a-half years from the financial year 2017-18 till now. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of 14,616 jobs in the MSME sector from April to August.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has given the figures of employment generation in all the states across the country in its reply in the Lok Sabha. According to this, a total of 1.10 lakh people have got work till August 31 in the current financial year i.e. 2020-21. At the same time, 5.33 lakh in the last financial year i.e. 2019-20, 5.87 lakh in the financial year 2018-19 and 3.87 lakh employment opportunities developed in the financial year 2017-18.

During the month of April to August, Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of 14,616 jobs in the MSME sector this year. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir has been second in terms of employment. Here 11,064 people were given jobs. 3,168 jobs were created under PMEGP in Bihar, 72 in Delhi, 3,008 in Haryana, 1,336 in Jharkhand and 2,344 in Uttarakhand.

Last year, 48,960 jobs were given in Uttar Pradesh, 42,840 in Jammu and Kashmir, 17,768 in Bihar, 744 in Delhi, 16,232 in Haryana, 1,2352 in Jharkhand and 1,4752 jobs in Uttarakhand. According to information provided by the government, under the PMEGP, 35 percent more subsidy is given on the cost of the project in rural areas for the promotion and establishment of micro enterprises in rural areas.

The government also announced a self-sufficient package for the development of small entrepreneurs during the Corona epidemic. Through this, arrangement of collateral free loan of Rs 3 lakh crore and additional loan of Rs 20 thousand crore has also been made. Government hopes that the MSME sector will play an important role in promoting domestic manufacturing in the country and to compete with China.
