Dehradun : A good news after so many months have come for tourists. Uttarakhand state government has issued new guidelines for tourists coming to the state in view of Corona. Under this, tourists will be allowed to enter the state without a corona test. Along with this, the obligation of limited days of stay in the state has also been removed.

Tourists can now stay for as many days as they want in the state. They also do not have to show a 96-hour-old negative report of Corona on the border. At the same time, the mandatory condition of two night stay in the hotel for tourists has also been removed. The orders were issued on Tuesday on behalf of Chief Secretary Om Prakash.

After the new guidelines issued by the government, tourists will now be able to come to the state uninterruptedly and they will not even have to be quarantined when they come to the state. This is likely to increase tourist activities in the state. In fact, the government had abolished the system of checking at the border for people coming to the state only two days ago. But tourists were required to show a negative report of Corona at the border or to undergo a mandatory corona test at the border itself. Not only this, for the tourists coming in the state, the condition of staying at least two nights in a hotel or homestay was made compulsory. But now the government has completely abolished all these conditions.

Now tourists will be able to come without checking. But they have to register on the smart city portal before coming. On arrival at the hotel, they will not have to show the negative report of Corona during check in. During this, thermal screening and sanitation will be done. If a tourist’s health deteriorates during his stay in the hotel, his corona test will be done and if the report is positive, the hotel administration will have to inform the local administration.
