J&K : 3 Terrorists Killed, 2 CRPF Jawans Injured In An Encounter In Batamaloo, Srinagar

Srinagar: Three militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, the encounter is going on in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar. Police and CRPF personnel are on the front and the search for terrorists is on. This encounter has been going on since 3.50 am on Thursday. The movement of security forces has been increased in the vicinity. Meanwhile, in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire in Balakot and Mendhar sector of Poonch district at around 6.45 am today.

Two CRPF jawans are also reported to be injured in this encounter. The CRPF’s QAT and SOG personnel are fighting the terrorists. Earlier on Wednesday, security forces received input about the hiding of terrorists in Marvel village of Kakapora, Pulwama. After this, the security forces cordoned off the area and started the search operation. Meanwhile, the militants started firing on the security forces.

The militants were surrounded by J&K Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF joint team. Security forces got information about the hiding of two to three terrorists. Two soldiers were injured in this encounter. Encounter is still going on.
