‘No Place For Symbols Of Slavery Mentality in UP’, CM Yogi Renames The Mughal Museum Of Agra

Kanpur : Preparations are on to rename the Mughal Museum in Agra in UP. The Mughal Museum in Agra will now be named Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made this decision during the review of Agra division.

The Chief Minister informed about this through a tweet. He wrote in the tweet, ‘The museum under construction in Agra will be known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The symbols of slavery mentality have no place in new Uttar Pradesh. Our hero is Shivaji Maharaj. Jai Hind Jai Bharat.’

Earlier, the UP government had decided that one road in their district will be named after the 11 martyrs of the state. A notification in this regard has also been issued by the Public Works Department. The Jai Hind Veer Path Scheme was announced by the Public Works Department of the state. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had issued instructions to put up big and attractive boards in honor of the martyrs on these routes.

In August, the Yogi government had decided that the name of Jasala-Kandhla Road would be named after the martyr Squadron Leader Madanpal Singh Chauhan, who received the Veer Chakra in Shamli. For this, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also gave approval. For many years, people of this region have been raising this demand. After the fulfillment of the demand, the family of the martyr thanked the UP government.
