New Delhi : The biggest action on drug mafias has been taken in Himachal Pradesh. Kullu police have launched an investigation on narcotics. The police have had great success in this operation and have seized the largest stock of narcotics so far. Police have seized 111 kg of charas from Shijahu village in Shrikot panchayat in Banjar. Police have arrested two people in the case. The entire Shijahu village has been sealed off due to the discovery of large quantities of drugs.

According to sources, the police team had received information that there was a charas mafia in the village and he had a large stock of narcotics. Based on this information, the police raided the hideout. Police have arrested a man and a woman in the raid. The crime has been filed. Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said this at around 2 pm on Thursday. The action was taken by Banjar Police under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Binny Minhas.

Although the Banjar police have taken similar action before, the stockpile found this year is the largest stock of narcotics. Last year too, Banjar police had seized 42 kg of charas. Police had arrested four people at the time. Kullu police have launched a crackdown on drug traffickers and several operations have been launched so far. Following the action, the assets of the suppliers of the drugs are also being investigated and so far Kullu police have seized illegal assets worth Rs 3 crore. The matter is under further investigation.
