SSR Case : Deepesh Sawant files petition against NCB in Bombay HC, seeks compensation of 10 lakh

Mumbai : Deepesh Sawant, who was working in Sushant’s house and has been in judicial custody in the drugs case, has filed a petition against the NCB in the Bombay High Court. Deepesh has demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh from NCB through this petition. Deepesh alleges that the NCB had detained him in an unlawful manner in a drug case. This petition was filed on 5 October.

The Bombay High Court heard the petition of Deepesh Sawant on Monday and postponed it till 6 November. A bench of Judge SS Shinde and Justice AMS Karnik will hear this petition. Deepesh Sawant was granted bail by the Bombay High Court from the judicial custody of NCB.

In the petition, Deepesh Sawant has claimed that he was produced before the magistrate after more than 36 hours. This is a direct violation of the Supreme Court guidelines. It has been told in the instructions of the Supreme Court that after arresting any accused, he has to appear before the magistrate within 24 hours. Simultaneously, Dipesh claimed that the NCB showed the time of his arrest at 8 pm on 5 September, while he was arrested at 4 pm on 4 September and presented before the magistrate on 6 September.

Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide on 14 June. Right now three big investigating agencies like CBI, ED and NCB are investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput case. All these agencies are investigating from different angles in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The NCB is investigating the drugs case in which the NCB arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and his brother Shouvik Chakraborty, Deepesh Sawant, who works in Sushant’s house. All these are accused of supplying drugs to Sushant.
