Mumbai : In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the Maharashtra government has once again imposed lockdown in Amravati city, while the night curfew has been announced in Yavatmal. While in Akola also the government can declare a lockdown anytime. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met on this issue on Thursday morning and this decision has been taken on the basis of that.

After the meeting, Ajit Pawar said that the Chief Minister has held a meeting with the administrative officials of Amravati, Yavatmal and Akola districts and has reviewed the situation there regarding the corona infection. Any concrete decision will be taken soon.

There is a continue rise in cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, 4,787 new cases have been reported in the state. This number is the highest after December 5. More than 3000 cases have been registered in the state since the last seven days.

At the same time in India, 12881 new cases of infection have been registered in the last 24 hours. The number of reported patients has increased on Thursday compared to Wednesday. There were 11,610 new cases of infection yesterday. At the same time, the number of infection-free patients has increased to more than 16 million.

According to data from the Union Health Ministry, 12,881 new infections of the coronavirus have been detected in the last 24 hours. In this way the number of infected in the country has increased to 1,09,50,201. At the same time, 101 people have lost their lives due to infection during this period, after which the number of deaths has increased to 1,56,014.
