A woman has died due to being shot in it. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has given his response on this.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted on Thursday morning saying, ‘Distressed to see news about rioting and violence in Washington DC. Orderly and peaceful transfer of power must continue. The democratic process cannot be allowed to be subverted through unlawful protests.’

There were clashes between police and Trump supporters outside the Capitol. The protesters broke the barricades below the capitol stairs. After this, Twitter and Facebook have suspended Donald Trump’s account.
