Mumbai : Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has been stuck in a new controversy. According to a Bollywood report, Gangubai’s family have now filed a case in Bombay City Civil Court against film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the film’s lead actress Alia Bhatt. They have objected to the story of Gangubai. Bollywood Life has revealed this in its report about3 the case on the movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

According to the information, a person named Hussain Zaidi has filed a case against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt on 22 December. All the celebs have been given time to reply on this matter till 7 January 2021.

This film is being made based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by famous writer Hussain Zaidi. Shooting of the film is also going on continuously. Meanwhile, this new controversy may cause problems for the makers.

Gangubai was a big name of Mumbai mafia in the 60s. It is said that she was sold by her husband for just five hundred rupees. Since then, she had been involved in prostitution. During this time, she also did a lot of work for girls who were forced into prostitution world.

Alia Bhatt will be seen in the lead role in this film. Alia will play the role of a lady gangster in it. The actress is going to play such a character for the first time. She had played a slightly aggressive character in Gully Boy. At the same time, Alia is working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time in a film.

Ajay Devgan’s cameo will also be seen in the film. The film is set in two different time zones. One part is pre-partition, while the other is set in the eighth decade.
