Mithun Chakraborty collapses on the film set, Health deteriorated
Mumbai : Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty is reported to have fallen during the shooting of ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie. He was shooting a movie of director Vivek Agnihotri in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. The film has been shooting since November. According to the Mid-Day report, during the shooting on Saturday, the actor suddenly fell during the shooting of the film. The reason for this is said to be food poisoning. The shooting of the film also had to be stopped for a day due to Mithun Chakraborty’s deteriorating health. The film’s director Vivek Agnihotri said that Mithun Chakraborty had fallen on the set due to food poisoning. He could not even stand up. Though he was still asking to complete the scene, but due to his ill health, it was decided to stop shooting for a day.
According to the report, Vivek Agnihotri was in favor of immediately stopping the shoot because of the ill health of Mithun Chakraborty. However, Mithun Chakraborty wanted to complete the scene even after not feeling well which deteriorated his health. Vivek Agnihotri said, ‘It was an action scene. That scene was completely focused on him. But he had food poisoning and was not in a position to stand up. Then after taking a long break, he completed that scene.’
Talking about Mithun Chakraborty’s passion, Vivek Agnihotri said, “The actor said that I have never been ill during shooting in my career of more than 40 years. I do not believe the shooting should be stopped.’ However, after completing that shot, the director decided to wrap up Saturday’s shoot and advised the actor to take enough rest. After this he returned to the set on Sunday and he said that he can tackle the remaining work on Saturday also today.
The Kashmir Files movie is based on the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir and their exodus in large numbers. Apart from Mithun Chakraborty, actors like Anupam Kher and Puneet Issar are going to be seen in this film. Mithun Chakraborty has won two Filmfare Awards and three National Film Awards in his career.
