Madhya Pradesh : Van filled with workers going home on Diwali overturns, 10 dead

Bhopal : A major road accident has happened in Madhya Pradesh before Diwali. 10 people died due to a pick-up van from Tehri headquarters of Pohri in Shivpuri district of the state overturned. Around 40 people were sitting in this car at the time of the accident. 4 women are also among those who died.

A pick-up van from Pohri in Shivpuri district was going towards Vijaypur after filling the passengers. The vehicle was just 7 kilometers ahead of Pohri, but during this time the van overturned at one point.

Of the nearly 40 people sitting in the van, 10 have died. Of these, 4 are women and 6 are men. 9 people were injured in the accident. The injured are being treated at the government hospital in Pohri.

The overfilled van was going from Pohri to Moravan village near Vijaypur. All the deceased are rural laborers who were going to their village on Diwali.

Regarding the accident, Rajesh Chandel of Shivpuri SP told that 10 people died and many others were injured in the accident of a pick-up van in Shivpuri today. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
