Mirzapur 2 is full of vulgarity & violence; Raju Srivastava demands censorship on OTT

Mumbai : The second season of the popular web series ‘Mirzapur’ has just hit the screens. This web series is getting a huge response from the audience. On the one hand, while the popularity of this web series is increasing, on the other hand, there is a demand for a ban on Mirzapur.

Anupriya Patel, MP from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, has demanded a ban on ‘Mirzapur 2’. Later, comedian and UP Film Development Council president Raju Srivastava has also criticized the Mirzapur web series.

Raju Srivastava has said that Mirzapur 2 webseries is full of obscenities and violence. He has requested Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to look into the matter. Shrivastava has also requested the concerned authorities to display the content displayed on the digital platform (OTT Platform) through censors.

Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel has alleged that ‘Mirzapur’ is being defamed from the ‘Mirzapur’ web series. She has demanded a ban on the series.

Anupriya Patel tweeted, “Mirzapur is developing under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathji. There is great harmony among the people here. However, it is being denigrated as a violent area through a web series called ‘Mirzapur’. Racial animosity is being spread through this series. As the MP of Mirzapur district, I demand that all this should be investigated and action should be taken against it.”

The webseries, directed by Gurmeet Singh and Mihir Desai, is released on October 23. The cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal has once again captivated the audience. Some new artists have also appeared in the second season to add color to the story.
