Gujarati superstar Naresh Kanodia dies of Coronavirus

Ahmedabad : Naresh Kanodia, the superstar of Gujarati films, died of Coronavirus. He was admitted to the hospital for four days and was being treated at the U.N. Mehta Institute in Ahmedabad. He died at the age of 77. There is a wave of mourning in the Gujarati film industry after his death.

Naresh Kanodia was a superstar of Gujarati films and he still has many fans. Actor Naresh Kanodia is known as Amitabh Bachchan of Gujarati Film Industries. On his death, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani tweeted and expressed his condolences.

Significantly, in the Gujarati film, Mahesh-Naresh pair was well known. Naresh Kanodia’s elder brother Mahesh Kanodia was a music and lyricist in Gujarati films. Mahesh Kanodia also died due to illness two days ago at the age of 83. Two days later, King Kanodia also died while undergoing treatment for Corona. People of Gujarat Film Industries say that the two brothers lived together for life and now death could not separate them either.

PM Modi also expressed grief over Mahesh’s death.

Naresh Kanodia also joined politics. He contested from Patan on a BJP ticket and also won the election. While his brother Mahesh Kanodia has been a BJP MP five times. Now Naresh Kanodia’s son Hitu Kanodia is also a superstar of Gujarat films as well as an MLA from BJP’s Eider seat.
