New Delhi : Air quality in Delhi-NCR is deteriorating rather than improving. With the increase of pollutants in the atmosphere on Thursday, Delhi’s climate deteriorated and air pollution increased. In the morning, Delhiites faced breathing difficulties due to air pollution. A thick layer of mist was also seen in the morning. According to the data released by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, the ITO recorded an air quality index of 254 on Thursday morning, 246 in Patparganj. Both these categories fall into bad shape.

According to the news agency ANI, most areas of Delhi-NCR were seen wrapped in gauze. There was fog from India Gate to Rajpath.

A person named Anil Sharma said that there is a need to control the pollution of vehicles. We used to come on the morning walk at 6 am, but now we have started coming at 5 am, while the pollution level is low. The public should be aware and move towards CNG and electric vehicles. The government is taking steps, but public awareness is also important.

Another local told ANI that if the Odd-Even rule is implemented in the national capital, it will definitely bring down the pollution level. He further said, stubble burning (burning of straw) is another cause of pollution here… pollution increases in the evening. The Delhi government has launched a new campaign to off the vehicles at the red light, but I do not think it will help bring down the pollution levels.

A cyclist named Shubham Bhadauria, who cycles from India Gate and Rajpath in the morning, said that we find it very difficult to breathe while cycling because there is a lot of difference in air quality now compared to August. At the same time, there are many other people who are having trouble breathing.
