Women & two daughters molested by cab driver in Amritsar, jumped from car to save lives

Amritsar : A shocking incident has been reported from Amritsar, Punjab. Troubled by molestation by the driver in a cab, two sisters jumped from the taxi moving at high speed. When the accused tried to kidnap his mother, the woman also jumped from the car and saved her life. All three have been admitted to a private hospital in critical condition. The accused driver has been identified as Gurpreet Singh. According to SHO police station of Ranjit Avenue Robin Hans, a case has been registered against Gurpreet and the accused has also been arrested.

According to the information, two sisters and their mother were going from a cab to celebrate a birthday at a restaurant on Ranjit Avenue off Majitha Road. On the way, the driver started molesting the girls. When the three reached near the restaurants, her mother told the driver before getting off the car that aren’t you ashamed, you’re molesting women. At this, the accused got angry and drove the taxi at high speed with the intention of kidnapping the three. After this, both the sisters and their mother confronted the driver and started making loud noise.

Meanwhile, a girl jumped out of the cab. A few yards away her sister also jumped from the moving vehicle. The people passing by started chasing the cab after seeing the girls jumping. When a cab driver surrounded the accused cab driver near Ranjit Avenue bypass, the girls’ mother also jumped from the car as the cab speed slowed down. The cab driver managed to escape.

The woman and her daughters were admitted to the hospital and the police station Ranjit Avenue was informed of the incident. After this, the police nabbed the accused.

Accused threatened to kill, abuse
Relatives of the injured said their friend’s daughter had a birthday. From Majitha Road, they had booked an online cab for Ranjit Avenue. The cab driver molested the daughters on the way. The driver threatened to kill the three and abused them.
