20yo Woman Prisoner Gangraped By 5 Policemen In Jail For 10 Days, Inquiry Ordered

Bhopal : In Madhya Pradesh, a woman has accused her of gang-raping her for 10 days in jail. The incident has been reported from Rewa. In this case, the woman has made serious allegations against 5 policemen, including the station in-charge and sub-divisional police officer. According to detailed information about the incident, the woman was accused of murder. This woman was in police custody. On October 10, when a team of Additional District Judges and lawyers arrived to inspect the jail, the woman made several serious allegations. At that time, the judge issued a written order in this case to the Superintendent of Police of Rewa Rakesh Singh to investigate and take action in the case.

On this matter, the Superintendent of Police said that “woman is accused of murder.” The woman alleges that she was gangraped on 9 and 21 May, while police say she was arrested on 21 May. The woman alleged that she was kept in a lock-up where she was gang-raped by the SDOP, Police Station In-charge and three other constables. A female constable tried to rescue her at the time but was forced to remain silent by senior officials. The woman said these things in front of the judge and lawyer on October 10.

According to ‘The Times of India’ report, lawyer Satis Mishra, who was involved in questioning the woman, said that the woman said all these things in the presence of all of us. When we asked her why she had not said this earlier, she said that she had told the warden about the incident three months earlier. The woman has also identified the policemen involved in the incident. She said that the policemen had threatened that they would implicate his father in a false murder case.’

The warden has made it clear that the woman had said this to her but she did not trust her. The woman’s statement was recorded and the district judge ordered a judicial inquiry into the matter on 14 October. The SP said that the woman and one of her male companions were arrested on May 21 based on call details, mobile location and other evidence.
