Forbes India List 2020 : Mukesh Ambani Becomes India’s Richest Person For 13th Consecutive Year
New Delhi : List of Forbes Top 100 Rich Indians of the year 2020 has been released. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has been announced India’s richest person for the 13th consecutive year. This time many new names have also been included in the Forbes list.
The list of top hundred rich persons has increased by 14 percent i.e. $ 517.5 billion this time compared to 2019. With this, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has once again become the richest person in India. Mukesh Ambani has maintained the record of being India’s richest man for 13 consecutive years.
Mukesh Ambani owns total assets of $ 88.7 billion. Recently, Reliance Group invested in several global companies such as Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail. After which Mukesh Ambani’s property has increased tremendously.
These names are included in the top 10 –
Gautam Adani has been ranked second in Forbes’ list of 100 rich Indians with a wealth of $ 25.2 billion. In this list, Shiv Nadar has got the third place with assets of $ 20.4 billion. At number four is Radhakishan Damani, owner of D Mart with assets of $ 15.4 billion. Hinduja Brothers has secured the fifth position in the list. They have assets of $ 12.8 billion.
Cyrus Poonawala is on number six with a wealth of $ 11.5 billion. Pallonji Mistry is on seventh place with a wealth of $ 11.4 billion. Talking about number eight, Uday Kotak is on this position with a wealth of $ 11.3 billion. While the Godrej family is on number nine with assets of $ 11 billion. Lakshmi Mittal is at number ten with a net worth of $ 10.3 billion.
Only three women got a place in the list
This time, only three women are included in Forbes’ list of Top 100 Wealthy Indians of 2020. Among them, Savitri Jindal of Jindal Group has got 19th position with assets of $ 6.6 billion. At the same time, Kiran Mazumdar is at 27th position with $ 4.6 billion net worth. Leena Tiwari of USV is on 47th number in the list with total assets of three billion dollars.
